Can #nostr replace #linkedin?

One of the things I like (and I think we all do) about Nostr is the fact that you own your identity and no single centralized entity can remove it from you. An npubsec is unique and it will always be yours. You own your identity forever. Of course all relays in the world can block you but will they? There's always someone interested in what you have to say isn't there :)?

But anyways, owning your identity on the internet is revolutionary and it is one of the advantages/precepts of the Web3 and in my opinion one of the reasons that Nostr will win in everything social network related, and eventually also replace Linkedin. Why is Linkedin so expensive anyways? It's a database of profiles for god sake 😃

Anyway, in my view, people will slowly use Nostr for everything. Maybe there will be a more safe-for-work relay and client for professional people. For example, Listr (https://listr.lol/) by nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc looks like something like this. Something safe-for-work and with Linkedin-like functionalities.

What do you think? Do you think Nostr can replace Linkedin?

It definitely can. I’ve thought about extending Ostrich.work in that direction… just haven’t had the time.
