I'm not saying lightning ⚡ will not succeed. Not at all. I think it will. But it might not if we don't solve some issues or accept some compromises.

Right now it's the best thing we have in regards to scaling. But it's not ready for large scale adoption - both from user-friendly perspective as well as overall channel capacity/management/rebalancing overhead

(User friendliness is really good but only for custodial services. Non custodial wallets still have long ways to go.)

I believe we will overcome all of these. Or we will take some compromises. Or something completely new and better will take over. I have no idea. But I'm gonna enjoy the ride.
