Yeah I think an nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct is a good start. Gives you some sovereignty and privacy at a low cost: you only have to buy a raspberry pi kit and a 1 (suggest 2) TB drive. Assembling is easier than ikea or LEGO. There’s a huge community.
It does enable self custody for sure. And the setup is first flash an SD card and then follow some YouTubes
