It’s naïve to suggest the United States holding Bitcoin or having a positive stance towards Bitcoin would automatically be the worse thing ever. That’s a performative purity contest, where you’ll find a welcome audience on Bluesky or other echo-chambers.

It’s also naïve to suggest that there aren’t risks and things to consider with the U.S. holding or having a positive stance towards Bitcoin that could be detrimental in the long run.

I’m an American, and I’d like to see this country continue to be a great place to live for me and my family and future generations. American values, our bill of rights and constitution are fully congruent with the best of what Bitcoin promotes, as well as our democracy (if we can keep it). Also being an American, I criticize like hell our institutions and those in power.

Anyway…I’ve never been more bullish. Onward

lol

If they deem starting a reserve through confiscatory means, then there is no morality involved, and therefore the is no end to how immoral things go.

Also, the same gov is setting precedent by going after bitcoin devs and about to criminalize self-custody without registering as an MSB.

Amen 🙏
