Monero has this problem solved. Nothing against it, paying with Monero is a great choice, where accepted... Of course, demonized and shadow banned, and even called a shitcoin by Bitcoin Maximalists, the irony...

Bitcoin L2 has options working decently for those technically savvy or at least willing to learn.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is the king of the land of crypto in terms of adoption and brand, and more adoption is coming to it as it becomes widely accepted and recognized, the financial energy is over a trillion dollars, it is the Alpha and that, IMO, won't change, but it will increase organically now that institutions including banks are getting in.

The irony deepens, buying a house with non KYC Bitcoin will probably become impossible once institutions, banks and the like impose the norm to trasanct with the asset, as Snowden stated, you try, the algorithm pops up and says, not approved (since the sats are not KYCed), but, it won't affect only Bitcoin, it will affect Monero as well, any crypto currency. In fact, for those self custodying Bitcoin (that did not coinjoin them) it will be easier to KYC their Bitcoin to use it under those circumstances, but Monero holders won't be able.

IMO, the fight is to make privacy to transact the norm, unfortunately the crypto community is divided, their bags are more important than anything and therefore they will call everything that is not their bag shit. Childish and selfish, not many adults in the table at the moment as decision makers.

Unless we get a new generation of cypher punks that don't give two Fs about the current Bitcoin influencers and core gatekeepers, that don't have EGO issues and therefore decide to get to work anonymously; like "Satoshi" did; develop the proof of concept in testnet and show us is possible without compromising L1 security. Well... We have a nice gold 2.0 and still, long live the King...

Some think that Bitcoin will be replaced. I honestly believe that is non sense, Bitcoin won. As for Ethereum (together with most EVMs) and Monero among other well known crypto currencies, they are going no where, they have found their user base and are here to stay, maybe some decadent countries may ban them, demonize them, but they will most probably survive us.

What are your thoughts?
