Can I just say something that will make a lot of people mad 🤣
The amount of resources we put into our lightning nodes and ecash collectively. Between developing the tech and hosting the tech in addition to the risk associated with them, is far greater than the cost of buying a larger SSD and increasing the block size.

Decentralization is massively inefficient, but for a monetary network it sure as hell beats the alternative
