Also very curious timing -- they finished repaying the Lend-Lease debts a single year before the great monetary crisis in the Eurodollar system (that they created, arguably to facilitate weaseling their way out from under the debt) began. That seems too convenient to be totally coincidental. Might have given me a bone to chew on here.
