Boeing workers, who have been on strike since September 13, have voted down a new offer from the company that included a 35% pay rise over four years. The International Association of Machinists Aerospace Workers (IAM) union said 64% of its striking members rejected the proposed deal. This marks the second time the workers have rejected an offer, with the previous one being turned down by 95% of employees last month.
Boeing's CEO Kelly Ortberg warned that the company is at a "crossroads" as losses surge to roughly $6bn (£4.6bn). The strike has compounded production issues, leading to a slowdown in manufacturing. Boeing's commercial aircraft business reported operating losses of $4bn in the last three months, while its defence unit lost nearly $2.4bn.
