I've visited other places where resorts are nice but you'd never want to live there. The laws of a country matter a lot when looking for a permanent move and sadly there are not many that even remotely respect the concept of individual liberty.

You may say, I don't want the thing they make illegal, but that doesn't change the risks of living under a government willing to make a law that strict picking a new law that is a personal issue for you tomorrow.

I think it's Singapore for example, massive wow factor compared to an American city, jail time for spitting gum onto the sidewalk. I don't spit my gum on the sidewalk. I still don't want to live in a place where the government assigns themselves that much power for asymmetric punishments.

I get what you mean but memes are illegal in the UK and France banned the unvaccinated from everywhere but supermarkets. The primary law I'm concerned about is keeping my income and property.

My home country sucks and I fell victim to vacation halo can both be true. Globally you get less say as an immigrant than natural born.
