It doesn't matter how long it's existed for, it's shitcoining built on Bitcoin.
An arrow is sticking out of you, would you look down at it and say 'oh this old thing? Been here ages, no worries'.
RSK is literally a sidechain made to be like Ethereum, of course it has shitcoins in it, that's the entire value proposition of Ethereum.
RIF is no different, and it is not "on Bitcoin", it is on RSK
