I generally don't both evangelizing Bitcoin with merchants. Every human on the planet knows it exists and makes a conscious choice to not use it, even by inaction. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

However, whenever I'm stuck in one of those loops where I have to email both the merchant and the creditcard company to get their shit together, based on useless error messages along the lines of "computer says no", I do judge people.

Quietly.

Why do you choose to make your customer experience suck?

And yes, of course "try another card" generally "fixes" the problem but it's an utterly lazy suggestion which puts the onus on the customer to fix your problem, and shows you don't understand how your own payment rails work.
