Common grains of sand are a collection of small jewels. Observed under a microscope, they reveal delicate structures full of color. To the naked eye, the tiny particles that make up sand are boring, but under a microscope everything changes. Looking closely at the sand reveals a world of brilliant colors, organic shapes and stunning natural patterns.
