I remember when my son was born and I saw him first open his eyes and it was clear how much of a blank slate he was.
I realized in that moment, my job was to not fuck him up. And that he wouldn’t get the most input from my words. He would only be taking in my example that I lived in his presence and be guided by the environment I developed around him.
A great responsibility that changed my life lens.
He will be 18 shortly and plans to graduate high school this year.
