It seems that the open protocol social network wars are heating up! I see a lot of discussion and criticism of each on each network.

I am hoping in the longterm all open networks converge on a way to federate all together. I want to be able to consume my social media on the software I want. I want to be able to follow and converse with users on any network. I want to be able to handle login and security the way I want it handled. that is my list of demands.
