The biggest technical problem with Nostr are its clients and the way of presenting posts. You can't expect people to stick around if their posts get lost in the depths of the timeline so easily. This is a big UX problem which other services solve by weighted algorithms, that decide, mostly by engagement rate, which posts to bring up again.

You either do this here as well or you start thinking about other types of presenting content of accounts you follow beyond the top lists based on engagement. A radically new presentation is needed. Pure chronological timelines are outdated. I don't even know why we're sticking to this presentation style that's over 20 years old. New service, new UX. It's actually logical.

Whether if we adopted algorithms or using something else to solve the engagement problem, we make sure that this solution is humane. Ppl like myself are sticking to outdated (almost in my age, LOL) presentation style rather than time and attention milking designs.

I think DVMs will solve most of the problems. Amethyst is adopted, hopefuly, Damus is next.

Sounds good, but untill today nobody managed to find a just algorithm that serves the purpose. That's why a radical presentational change might be an alternative.

Or we wait untill we figured out some AI magic stuff.
