In 2022, we had over 3 million asylum applications with a population of 84 million. So, 1:28 per capita.

As soon as the application is closed, they are moved off the books. And many asylum seekers register in other EU countries and then move here.

Probably looking at 2:28 per year, if you add in all recently-accepted, wandered-in, anchor babies and family reunion (they are not counted as asylum seekers).
