Network effects are powerful. I can’t imagine being a prominent YouTuber and then starting over on a different platform.

I understand the mirage of fame is powerful, but I don't want such youtubers at my table.
I don’t remember who I was listening to talk about this but every social media network has its own kind of vibe. Certain strategies work better for farming engagement and growing a following. It takes a while to learn that and then establish yourself. This is why most influencers are very active on one platform and do small cross posts on the other platforms. It takes too much time to learn those things for more than one platform. This is why the big influencers on nostr are mostly nostr only. While other influencers just cross post stuff here occasionally. That’s also why I respect the people that deleted their large twatter accounts and came here.
Influencer is such a nasty word. I can't take them seriously.
Influencers will always exist even after Fiat dies lol
I've seen exceptions irl, but none of them referred about themselves as being influencers.
The harder the money, the fewer the grifters. It will take a lot of time. A lot a lot of time.
I don’t think there’s anything necessarily wrong with being an influencer. You influence others to do something. Bodybuilding influencers for example are mostly helpful imo.
