Friends and family always ask when I'll do my PhD.

My response? "Never."

While finishing grad school, I got bombarded with emails grooming me for a PhD. Cute, but annoying—trying to sell me on a 4-7 year full-time commitment when I hadn't even finished my current program!

And to top it off, the PhD would satisfy my mom's and extended family's egos, not mine.

So ya, that's why.
