When I click follow the button turns black and says: “Unfollowing”.

Then I try and click again and then it says “Following” - but nothing happens.

no, when you click it, the text changes to "unfollow" which means clicking again will stop following that user. leave the button showing "unfollow"

Just tried to follow you back by doing exactly that - and I don’t see it worked? Can you see me following you?
