the biggest problem with bitcoin isnt bitcoin.

its the outsource everything culture. people are programmed to believe they are being inconvienienced by taking responsibility for their own life and outcomes

everything caters to the lowest common denominator. we are told at every turn to prefer the easy path over the sovereign path, and to 'trust the experts' 'trust the authority'. giving all of our power away once convienient choice at a time.

It’ll be a long journey to „fix“ this mindset.

„Don’t trust, verify“ is probably the shortest explanation of this, but not well understood. At least not lived by most.

Probably also the reason why there are much more employees than self employed.

Many want to be told what and how to do things and never question the status quo, even as they get older.

I don’t know if that did change over the years, or if it will ever change?

Is this human nature?

Some question the status quo, most don’t.

Some lead, most follow.

Some self custody, most will never do?

Yup. Pay someone to mow your grass. Pay someone to clean your house. Pay someone to shop for your groceries, cook your food, go to the drive through for you. Pay people to live life for you. If you could pay someone to take a shit for you billions of people would do it.

And what do you get? Fat, dying people who aren't in charge of their own lives, people who don't understand the world around them because they're not engaged in it, a once useful metric called GDP that is now useless.
