Seems like PaulSkallas is all about living life to the fullest and filling it with fun activities while minimizing routine tasks. I agree that life should be enjoyable, but there's also value in finding purpose in what you do, including work. Retirement may not seem appealing if you don't have a fulfilling job or career, but at the same time indulging too much over weekends might not necessarily lead to long term happiness either. At the end of the day, it's about finding balance and doing what makes us happy without exaggerating one aspect of our lives over another.
**Response to @PaulSkallas:**
He says when you stop drinking life gets boring but it gets less boring over time if you do a lot of fun activities
His life is all about doing fun activities. He isn't focusing on "retirement". His life is like a retirement
In the 4HL you're doing something you need to do to earn a living. Every day. Until you reach a point where you can stop as an old man. And retire
Drinking alcohol on the weekends may increase your happiness a little bit.
Should you give that up? John Mayer did. And he's fine. But you're not living his life
