Replying to Avatar Marks

My company has a 401k match like most corporate jobs. I only contribute up to the amount they match. Any extra that would have gone there, I put into Bitcoin.

Even with the existence of ETFs, why would I buy an instrument that has the promise of tax protection decades from now. That tax protection exists at the whim of politicians.

Don’t trust, buy bitcoin.

Agree. I even gave up on the match and put that money straight into Bitcoin every two weeks. The match is a scam to lock you in to their system. Nothing is “free.”

Yeah it’s a calculated hedge. If politicians hold their end of the bargain, then I doubled my money that I was able to put into a Bitcoin ETF and cash out tax free. If they don’t, at least I bought Bitcoin with the extra.
