Pollution of the type that poisons people is not related (directly) to "climate change", regardless of how you define it.
Plastics and similar waste (which are a problem almost exclusive to poor countries, not the rich ones virtue-signaling with your Starbucks straws and supermarket bags) have no impact whatsoever on climate either.
This doesn't mean than reducing pollution and plastic waste aren't good things per se.
It just means that if they need to conflate these unrelated things with "climate change", I have to wonder, naturally.
