(Prophetic Rebuke – Rock/Gospel Anthem)

By Sheryl Clyde / Thunderbird

[Verse 1 – The Lord Speaks]

How long, how long will you strike My name,

Wearing crosses while feeding flames?

You raise your hands in polished pews,

But crush the poor with lies and abuse.

I told you once—I told you plain:

Defend the weak in My holy name.

But you pass them by, you turn your head,

While stealing the crumbs from the mouths I fed.

[Pre-Chorus]

I am not mocked by your flags and might,

I stand with the broken—you pick the fight.

[Chorus – Thundered Rebuke]

You did it to Me

When you took from the poor,

You spit in My face

When you locked the door.

I said to defend—but you turned away,

Now mercy is fading like the end of day.

You attack the least?

Then you’ve warred with Me.

I was hungry, and you left Me to bleed.

[Verse 2 – Righteous Indictment]

I gave the charge, carved in stone:

Rescue the weak, bring the outcast home.

But instead you hoard, you mock, you sneer,

Trading justice for power and fear.

You silence truth with laws and lies,

While My children starve before your eyes.

You say you're Mine, but you do not see—

Every blow you land, you land on Me.

[Bridge – Prophetic Cry]

Time is short, My wrath draws near,

I’ve wept enough, now hear Me clear:

REPENT.

Restore what’s been defiled,

Or face the Lion—not the Child.

Mercy lingers, but not for long,

You hardened your heart to the widow’s song.

[Final Chorus – Heaven’s Verdict]

You did it to Me

When you crushed the oppressed,

You crowned the wicked

And cursed the blessed.

I walked the streets—you turned away,

Built your altars on My decay.

I was the least, in chains and torn—

You mocked the cross I once had worn.

[Outro – Jesus Weeps]

I loved you still…

But you loved war.

And now the knocking…

Becomes a roar
