You can buy your Bitcoin on any exchange you like. I don’t know the US market (according to your profile) so I can not recommend a exchange for you but there are plenty out there.

A small amount can be saved on your phone (Breez or bluewallet for example) or your pc. For larger amounts it’s better to use a hardware wallet like BitBox02, coldcard etc.
