I’ll offer a counterpoint to all the folks suggesting you’ll find the right husband when you stop looking.

No one talks about a job this way, or anything else one might want except maybe enlightenment 😂 I don’t get it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Probably it’s good advice in that it prevents one from coming across “desperate” or more interested in the goal than the person. That’s always a good thing to squash, but you don’t have to not look to do that.

Personally, few of the best things in my life came without being asked for, looked for, worked for. My husband included. I never would have found him if I hadn’t been looking. I also believe I never would have found him if God hadn’t arranged it. I prayed not only to find him, but for his blessing and welfare even without knowing him.

Still, not looking clearly works for some, but it won’t if you’re not out in the world living your life. Doing things you would love to do anyway is a win-win; maybe you’ll meet someone, but who cares; you’re having fun.
