In the Marine Corps the topic of integrity comes up often. It goes like this : during a sit down a higher up will ask "what does integrity mean to you" and the answer is "doing the right thing when no one is looking".

One time, my BOY, deep south, no fucks given real man answered "integrity is doing the wrong thing when everyone is looking". We died, but he's got a point. Do what you do regardless.
