He won't. No person serious about privacy would ever install an android distribution that only runs on Google-owned hardware.

It's like putting a heavy lock on your frontdoor while the backdoor is wide open for everyone.

Unfortunately true. So waiting for Graphene to create their own OEM phone or use "Nophones" as often as possible.

In the meanwhile it's still an upgrade for most people. Starting from acknwoledging that they want more control and privacy. That alone will translate into new market opportunities.

That doesn't really make it any better. You should never trust closed ecosystems where both the hardware and OS are provided by the same group.

I would more quickly trust some cheap chinese android that nobody cares enough to plant hardware backdoors than using a device from a group that is knows they are sus since years and now I should trust they haven't poisoned their hardware too.

Totally wrong. The reason for using pixels is because it is the only Android device that meets their strict security specifications. Graphene is now working with an OEM to get an alternative device with the same level of hardware security

Complete and utter bullshit.

Even flat earthers come up with more creative excuses for refusing to ear what cybersec experts have been telling you guys.

Just admit that you do this for the money.
