I just created a new post and added the gif from the phone library
I wonder if there would be a way to add the “view it on nostr…” part before the text of the post, right after the “from” part? Or is that what’s expected

Yes, I started delving into coding for Nostr when I adapted Siggy to Nostr.
Siggy is up and running here, if you hashtag stackjoin, it should be picked up.
