Ive never heard them called elk horn trees. They are staghorn sumac trees.

Well seeing your post made me do some research, and staghorn sumac is what mine are, and I did see that you can make a drink similar to lemonade, it also said that there are many healing properties in the berries, so thank you for posting😊
