Here's a performance test for the haters that think this is slow. First two posts are stored directly on relays. The client must load the kind 1 (text note) first, then load the kind 1064 (file header, which includes the blurhash) and then it loads the 1065 which includes the base64 of the entire image.
This is the performance in debug mode (the slow mode) and it's loading these images while loading everything else (fresh start).
You can't even see the blurhash before the image is loaded.
