Parents have to make choices the kids don't like or agree with. If you're a good #parent, you cannot avoid this. Parents must choose which main things they want to model for their kids long-term. Sometimes, different lessons to model are chosen for us, and the parent has to navigate that to the best of their ability. Kids will only sometimes understand, like, or accept it once they're older adults and can look back with perspective and see.
Yes, absolutely.
What I mean is not to be influenced by opinion of others more then that of your kids. And opinion is probably not the best word, respect is probably better in this context.
