Zapping is a gesture along the lines of “I liked your post so much that I want you to prosper more in this life”. That is pretty strong. Zap = love.
this is probably a dumb question, but... where do the zaps go? if somebody Zapps me, how do I access the sats?

They show up in your wallet.
That would make sense and it's what I figured. I guess I was confused because I'm not sure where my wallet is LOL. I suppose it will be made clearer once/if I ever get a zap.
