i spent my entire childhood shadowing my father so i know just about everything he did. welding/brazing, woodworking, plumbing, drywall and framing, auto/truck repair (went to college for this one too)

i imagine i will be valuable in a collapse but really anything you can learn that benefits another, especially if you can master it, will make you most valuable in your communities

for you with sheepskins and stuff, there will be a need for that when industrial textiles fail but not in your lifetime, i dont think since the existence of so many textiles now kind of negates the absolute need for it
