The history of humanity & revolutions is similar to coppicing a tree. Statism is the large oak, with branches forking through the sky, entangling itself in whatever stands in its way. Revolutionaries have always sawed at the base of the tree.

They are sometimes successful & the tree falls to the ground.

They continually fail to realize that the root system is still there. The tree will grow even faster in the future, coming back with multiple branches forming even more trunks - it’ll be even more difficult to cut down the next time it’s attempted.
