AppleALC has a bunch of hardcoded audio controllers none of which seem to be compatible with whatever QEMU emulates. VoodooHDA just works, but later versions broke loading the kext from OpenCore, had to disable system integrity checks and put the kext into the system itself. After that I don't want to hear Linux audio jokes ever again.
