Never been to SA but I had a good friend who migrated there from Bulgaria. She liked it but lived in a fenced compound and only knew previously about Soviet Bulgaria. They later transferred to the USA. I'm somewhat knowledgeable of the area.

As a white guy, I'm not so sure about setting foot in SA. The Gov't seems hostile to whites, not that I blame them or wish to make judgements on SA, their history, politics, etc. Not being nasty .... I feel the same way about almost all USA cities. As a white .. I can definitely sense the hate.

When I must go to Boston, I wear a Kufi (Muslim head covering, cap). People treat me much better and I can sense it. Again, I don't blame people .. I try to stay "in my lane" , stay low key, but carry a gun and remain ready to blow people's brains out if they threaten me.
