Screw the zaps right now, I’m just begging Jack to talk to #[3] so we can mute threads on Damus. I’m stuck in a 400+ person thread and there’s no way out 😞. I will gladly zap for the ability to mute threads 🔥
It helped tame mine quite a bit to block (which is really just mute in Damus) anyone replying to that thread that I’m not following. There are only a handful of people keeping it going and if you block/mute a few of them the notifications are at least manageable
a part of me is struggling with the idea that this is looking too much like twitter in terms of functionality (likes, threads, retweets, notifications)
can we think of a new social media platform without all the garbage that is already on web2?
