Tourism by itself isn't bad, it can be good for people to experience different cultures and become more globally aware. The problem is when areas just cater to tourism. When I go somewhere I want to eat the local food, and experience the culture of where I've gone. The last thing I want to do is go to Spain, eat English food and speak English. I also hate the way whole areas have become air b&bs making it impossible for the locals to live there.
It's the problem of cheap tourism. It's cheaper to get on a flight to Spain, than is os for a train to London! Air travel should be expensive and domestic travel should be cheap!
