Got a question; should I NOT use an umbrel node as the “exit node” when setting up Tailscale?

Seems like routing all traffic to umbrel is a bad security practice…but then again…the Pihole is part of that.

I’ve been reading doc after doc ab Tailscale and I need a little one on one.

Honestly; I’m just wanting to maximize my home network security and functionality.

Do I have to have an Exit node? Is it a security consideration? I feel like security for the corn trumps all so if “advertising as an exit node” increases attack vectors for my cold storage ; that’s all I need to know.
