Yes. My Mormon neighbors said they were descendants of polygamous marriages, but it was a matter of survival. They were chased out of many places, headed West, and many of the men died leaving widows and orphans. Polygamy was outlawed in the 19th century (I think), but there are still Mormons who've been excommunicated from the church who practice polygamy. I'm a bloody Catholic, but my Daddy used to tell my Mama he wished he had 2 wives, just to aggravate her. lol
