I was digging through some old notes in the Food and Drink section of my Obsidian vault, and came across a recipe I had to share.
I was playing around with ChatGPT and having it make cocktail recipes for me... 😂
The Excommunicado Scaffa:
"A drink so bitter, even your taste buds might renounce you."
Ingredients:
2 oz Malört (Jeppson’s or something equally aggressive)
0.5 oz Fernet-Branca (for that menthol, herbal gut punch)
0.5 oz Cynar (for added vegetal bitterness)
2 dashes Angostura bitters (why stop now?)
1 dash absinthe (because you weren’t suffering enough)
Tiny pinch of sea salt (to make sure you really taste everything)
Instructions:
1. Pour all ingredients into a small glass—something sturdy enough to handle regret.
2. Swirl it gently, as if stirring the abyss.
3. Take a moment to reflect on your choices.
4. Sip, grimace, and wonder what went wrong in your life.
Tasting Notes:
Expect layers of bitterness with wormwood and menthol fighting for dominance. The Cynar brings a vegetal depth, while the Fernet punches you in the lungs with its intense herbal blast. The absinthe is just there to mock you. The salt amplifies everything, making sure no flavor gets lost in the void.
No citrus, no sweetener, no mercy.
