I learned “Nobody Else But Me” by Jerome Kern. He is well known for his enharmonic modulations (e.g. All The Things You Are) and harmonic twists that lead your ear the wrong way sometimes 🙃 It was written for the musical “Show Boat” and was the last song he composed. On the record “Signs of Life” (where this recording is from) you can hear Peter Bernstein, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride and Gregory Hutchinson - all star lineup for sure. 🧡
