Here is a conspiracy tehory.

Prior to WW2 France UK and USA (Capitalists) didn't bat an eye as Russia (Communists) Invaded numerous Nations in the east. China was to become a major Communist regime, that much was clear.

Later China, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea fell victim to Communism.

And here is the kicker. During WW2 the Allied Nations, the Kapitalist Nations conspired with the Communist Nations.

The Allied Nations did not want to become Communist themselves though.

Communism was a tricked-up religion/philosophy that its founders didn't believe in, pure destruction and power politics disguised as a "workers' movement." A fairly high number of its functionaries believed in it, though.

Liberalism was communism lite and the rot has been more thorough and with less internal resistance than what happened in communist countries.

I'd rather have had the "alpha marxists" in charge here - then we would have built up antibodies so to speak.
