I'm honestly not sure at this point. I think setups like greenlight probably end up striking the correct balance
I have to say I agree.
Big blockers were bullish on hardware and software advances getting that allowed accomodating large blocks without centralization risk.
Now were are also forced to do the same just hoping that LN nodes on phones are usable enough so that LN does not end up being centralized by LSPs and custodians.
There is a huge difference between hoping for these things on L2 vs hoping for things on L1... L1 is where we're trying to reproduce the laws of physics. You can't "hope" on L1.
