It’s a common theme that plays out everywhere… company becomes successful, hires a bunch of people to do a bunch of things spearheaded by employees who hire like minded activists, until the company spends more on activism than productive output that benefits the company or society.

Google, Apple, all companies have to do the same thing, the sooner they do, the more profitable and productive they’ll be.
