I owned a house from 2012 to 2024. I used money from the sale to pay off all my debt. I now "rent" my dad's house. I say "rent" because I'm paying utilities and upkeep but don't pay him monthly to live here. He lives rent free in his mom's house. I still get phone calls asking if I want to sell it.
