Disagree. Misdirection for something they perceive as a bigger or more immediate problem.

Knowing how they were acting and delaying all over I wouldn’t be surprised but yeah unlikely that was a case.

More likely a media influenced dip so they can stack their bags for an extra couple of days

I also thought, that this is too much coincidence but I can't find any reason that would be worth the damage of reputation.
