Your Nostr app might have built in DMs, but DMs are kind of a mess on Nostr. There's an old legacy method with less privacy that major clients like Damus and Primal still use and then there's more private DMs that other clients like Amethyst, 0xchat, and others use.

so soon damus clients will be able to process and query them directly from the database which will be nice. then I could display them with a special green lock icon in their feeds or something
