I'm currently working on the first book in a series, and I want the covers to be at least somewhat uniform. I saw got inspired today and made something I actually like.
I still have a long way to go, but I'm making progress! 😎

I got to the end scene and realized I didn't even have 25000 words...and a novel is supposed to be at least 40000, so I'm working on filling it out. My first book was quite easy to get long enough on the first draft, but I'd thought of parts of the story for years 🤣
That's actually good to know (about the length). We've planned out at least 50 chapters at 7-10 pages each, but I hadn't worked out the word count on that.
I saw someone in a writer's group on fb post a picture that said what each amount of words was called. Before that, I didn't care about word count. My idea was, about 10 pages per chapter, and at least 10 chapters... my first book turned out to be 14,5 chapters. So I'm sure your writing will far surpass the minimum of 40 000 words.
I'm on track for 200,000. I'm already at around 104,000.
